"When I was 17, my mother began showing signs of Early Onset Alzheimer’s Disease.  Within a year of being diagnosed, my mother could hardly speak to us, nor communicate in any manner.  Being so young, there were so many things that I didn’t know about my mom, nor did I know to ask. Having lost her at 23, all I have now are selective memories, photos and limited videos from my childhood. I would give anything to have my mom’s legacy preserved on video to share her story with new friends, and family generations to follow.

 

I think my Mom would be very proud to know I used our experience to help others capture their own family memories. Due to Alzheimer’s Disease, I lost my mother, but I now preserve memories as my passion, my career. "
