Why One Love?
Partially in memory of my mother who died at the early age of 55 from *Early Onset Alzheimer’s. “Love,” was one of her many pet names for me growing up. I feel like I owe the success of my happiness in doing what I love, to my mom. After many years of begging, my mother surprised the family with a Video Camera during the summer of 1990. Since I was young I have loved shooting and the concept of editing. The first thing I put together was produced through the use of my Video Camera and my VCR at the age of 12. From that day on it became a dream to be able to edit my own videos. That day finally came true in April of 2001. Thanks to my father for letting me move home after college, I was able to save up enough money to buy all the equipment I needed to edit. I sat at my new desk and just starred at my two ViewSonic monitors. Final Cut Pro was loaded up on my new system waiting for me to edit my recent trip to Mexico. I thought of my mother and realized how I was living a dream. I noticed the three little birds in the upper left corner of my monitors… Bob Marley, who wrote that song, has always been a huge inspiration to me. His music and his positive influence helped me through some really hard times. I sat back and said, ONE LOVE.

I have been producing my own videos and servicing people in production since 2001. I started out with photo montages to be shown at Bat/Bar Mitzvahs receptions, and have now done work for Paul Hennessey of Hennessey’s Taverns, Johnson & Johnson’s Irvine Headquarters, Sylvan Online Higher Education and many weddings and other various videos. I have also led a production with a crew of 6 people working for me in an event with over 800 people. I am currently living a dream I didn’t think was in grasp for many years, if entirely not at all. I was always kind of amusing myself saying, “I want to own my own production company.” Well here I am.

I would really like to thank my father for supporting me in everything I have done and helping make this experience possible. I would also like to thank those of you out there that encouraged me to pursue this dream and have continued to support and love me. I truly wouldn’t have gotten as far as I have without all the positive support! For those of you out there who are always willing to help me with projects, be it in production, post, or literature, thank you! Most of all I would like to thank my mother for continuing to inspire me daily and purchasing my very first piece of equipment for me! I would never be where I am without her!
